Meet the Coach
Julie Harvey
Former Police Tactical Support Officer turned evidence-based strength and physique coach. I understand high-stress environments, irregular schedules, and the unique challenges faced by high performers, and professionals who demand excellence from themselves.
My background in tactical policing taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of systems that work under pressure. When I transitioned into coaching, I brought that same rigor and attention to detail, but this time, applied to human performance, body composition, and long-term health.
My own training journey started in self-coaching through strength and conditioning, building functional performance, power, and resilience which helped with occupation, and life. But over time, I became fascinated by the precision required to shape a physique: the interplay of training variables, nutrition periodisation, and the mental discipline it demands.
That curiosity led me to competitive bodybuilding. Stepping on stage taught me things you can't learn from textbooks, like how to manage a prep without destroying your metabolism or your mindset, how to peak at the right moment, and how to navigate the psychological challenges that come with pushing your body to its limits. All of this while scaling my business, and I came home with a couple of medals, too.
Competing sharpened my coaching. I now understand firsthand what it takes to diet hard, train through fatigue, manage water and sodium, and stay composed when everything feels difficult. That lived experience informs how I coach clients through their own fat loss phases, builds, and for those who want it, competition prep.

My Core Values
Mastery over everything.
I care deeply about doing things properly. In training, in nutrition, in education, and in how I coach, I aim for a high standard and real attention to detail. I believe progress comes from thoughtful planning, consistent execution, and respecting the process rather than rushing the outcome.
Personal, not generic.
Every person I work with brings a different body, history, stress load, and lifestyle. That means coaching should never feel templated or automated. I value taking the time to understand you properly and building something that actually fits your life, rather than forcing you into a system that looks good on paper but falls apart in reality. We make adjustments in real time from your objective, and subjective data which is why tracking habits and the weekly check in are so important.
Process first, outcome second.
Results don’t come from motivation alone. They come from habits, structure, and learning how to show up consistently even when life is busy or messy. I focus on building routines and systems that make progress sustainable, so the outcome becomes a by-product of doing the basics well, over and over again.
Evidence, applied with experience.
My decisions are grounded in science, but they’re shaped by years of real coaching and real people. I value clarity over confusion, and as an ex police officer, I value evidence for informed and just decision making. I apply research into practical, realistic actions to test against the real world, not just in textbooks.
Always learning, always evolving.
Coaching isn’t static, and neither am I. I stay committed to ongoing education and challenging my own thinking so that the support I give continues to improve. Your progress reflects my responsibility to keep growing as a coach, not to rely on what I learned years ago. Within tactical support, a lot of skills and staying in license involved peer-to-peer learning and responsability, and I am proud to have attained a Lvl 3 teaching qualificaiton. I like to reinforce my learning by passing it on to my clients.
Stronger bodies, stronger lives.
Training is never just about sets and reps. Confidence, sleep, stress, structure, and mindset all feed into the results you get and how you feel in your day-to-day life. My goal is not only to help you change your body, but to help you build routines and resilience that carry over into everything else.
